Production Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee manufacturing operations, improve production efficiency, and ensure smooth workflow within the plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring production processes, reducing downtime, maintaining quality standards, and implementing process improvements to achieve operational excellence.

The Production Engineer will work closely with maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and plant management teams to ensure timely and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities
Production Management
* Monitor daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
* Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
* Plan and coordinate production schedules based on demand requirements.
* Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Process Improvement
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
* Improve operational efficiency using lean manufacturing techniques.
* Recommend automation and process optimization strategies.

Quality Assurance
* Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
* Coordinate with the quality control team to resolve production defects.
* Conduct root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
* Maintain compliance with industry and safety standards.

Maintenance Coordination
* Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
* Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
* Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades when needed.

Safety & Compliance
* Ensure workplace safety protocols are strictly followed.
* Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Maintain compliance with company policies and manufacturing regulations.

Documentation & Reporting
* Prepare daily production reports and performance metrics.
* Maintain production records, SOPs, and process documentation.
* Present productivity and efficiency reports to management.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
* Strong understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality management systems.
* Familiarity with production machinery and industrial equipment.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production software.
